This 100-acre site, situated at the end of Adams Drive in Carpentersville, offers oak/hickory woods, ponds, wetlands, and fields. Salamander Springs is an excellent habitat for birds, small reptiles, and amphibians.
Hiking and non-motorized biking is permitted with limited, mowed trails connecting to the Binnie Woods Forest Preserve Trail System. The northern section of the property is accessible by overland hiking while the southern portion has limited trails accessing the woods and a small fishing pond.
The Salamander Springs Site Steward is Jim Cudney.
